Into another year 2013
Its a new year 2013,
Winter is still upon us, Right now we are working on a nice size 2nd story addition on a building built in the 50's, I would highly recomend on any homes built during this time w/ a shiplap type sheathing, to get complete engineering and design before you get any costs of doing the project. We scoped out this project and designed it w/ costs w/o any engineering, You would assume that most standard construction practices were still being followed during its time period, to a degree that engineering would not affect the final overall final costs to build. After the engineering was complete on this home the costs of the project went up more than I had expected, costing my clients more than antisipated. We are getting through all these unexpected costs and code issues, On the good note, its moving along well and looking very appealing from the street. The interior will be a very comfortable home to enjoy and relax in w/ a very open design throughout.
We are also working on some nice bathroom remodels, upgrading and bringing in some new products that we have not used. Large tiles, new elongated floor drain for the shower to be finshed w/ tile. Installing a complete top and sides for a soaker tub w/ a solid surface finish. We are also using the complete showewr stall system by Schluder, using all Kerdi board on the walls, and shower pan and curb stop.We are excited as to the final costs and quality product finish of the Schluder system. For more info on this product go to www.schluderkerdiboard.com. We are also using the new Cable system under floor heating by Nuheat. That will wield a Solo Thermostat, that is 7 day programable. More info at www.nuheat.com.
If you are looking at projects for the summer of 2013, please give us a call and schedule a 1 hr. free consultation and feasibility of your project. Thanks for reading and we will see you all out there.Blessings.
Respectfully Robert Squires.
